Professional Genealogist

Archivist, Historian, Educator

With a master’s degree in history, two decades of experience in genealogy, and a successful career in archives and historical institutions, I understand the complexities inherent to this field. During my tenure as an archivist, professional researcher, and genealogical educator, I have helped thousands of clients discover their ancestral roots and now I’d like to help you do the same!

I have diverse U.S. research experience and specialize in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey with particular expertise in 18th and 19th-century African American research. I have over a decade of experience working with DNA to solve genealogical mysteries and have helped countless clients identify unknown parentage. I also have specialized education in forensic investigative genetic genealogy (FIGG) and am trained to make identifications using DNA in law enforcement cases involving violent crimes and unidentified human remains.

As an active member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, I adhere to the APG Code of Ethics and Professional Practices and remain dedicated to continuous training and education to stay at the forefront of the field.

I started my own family history journey in the early 2000s. I caught the bug bad so I went to graduate school to study American History and Archival Studies. I've been in dusty basements ever since and I've never looked back!
